Reclaimed Beech kitchen

Reclaimed Beech kitchen

Project goal:
Reclaimed wooden doors and drawer fronts to complete the galley kitchen. The rest of the kitchen was finished mostly in grey, so the customer chose lime-washed, reclaimed boards from a salvage company that he thought would work best.

Materials:
Reclaimed beach barn cladding finished in matt, clear acrylic lacquer for a durable, waterproof finish. Blum soft-close hinges are used throughout.

Client testimonial

I highly recommend Martin. He has made a few things for me, including a very large freestanding bookcase. He worked closely with the architect and me to ensure the design came to fruition. His design flair, engineering and carpentry expertise and craftsmanship, as well as attention to detail, really made a difference. It’s a great piece, which the photos that will follow clearly show. He also made some amazing kitchen doors from reclaimed wood, despite the poor condition of the wooden boards we found online. The result is as good as anything you’ll see on Pinterest!

MW Creative Carpentry will guide you through the design, build and installation process to deliver outstanding results on time, and on budget.

In order to install projects in a safe and timely fashion, please ensure all access routes and relevant spaces are clear and that children and pets are kept away from tools and materials.

We ask customers not to open any wrapped panels if they are left in the property overnight. MW Creative Carpentry will not be held responsible for any damage that may occur in such instances.

We will require parking to be available within a sensible distance of the installation property. Please provide all relevant permits or tickets upon arrival.

The customer should coordinate with any other construction projects taking place in the property in order to avoid any delays or accidental damage during the installation process. If our installation is delayed, there will be a daily fee of £60 +VAT, as well as any extra costs to repair any damage.

Our real wood and veneered products have a protective UV finish to reduce the chance of them changing colour due to direct sunlight; however, some natural materials may still discolour slightly over time despite this.

For all other questions, please refer to our T&C’s.

Most of our materials and finishes are incredibly durable but are not indestructible.

For maximum longevity, we recommend that customers follow some simple care instructions to protect their furniture:

  • Avoid placing items on furniture that might cause chips, watermarks, and scuffs. Coasters, placemats and covers are recommended.
  • Be sure to dry off any wooden furniture that comes into contact with water to ensure longevity.
  • We recommend the use of furniture polish with a microfibre cloth and to avoid strong cleansers and cleaning agents.
  • If you experience any functional problems with our furniture, please don’t hesitate to contact us and we will happily assist you.

If you are unsure how to use or care for your furniture, please ask for more information.
